Why typical morning routines are designed for men
I think we are all familiar with the following clip - a typical ‘bro with a podcast’ guy talking about his morning routine… getting up at 4am, heading to the gym for an intense 2 hour workout, followed by an hour of sauna and cold plunging, a cold shower, before he heads into his 1 hour meditation… this routine he swears is the reason he is ‘an alpha male’ in his career in trading or whatever… (ok maybe I took some poetic license). His disgust at the rest of us mere plebes who are in bed until 6:30am or 7am is palpable… but what I want to know is - where is this guy’s girlfriend or wife? Who is looking after his children?

It is from this pile that I used to dress myself from each morning… are you feeling seen?

Surviving the heatwave
Ireland is having a heatwave… and while we are all afraid to complain about it (in case we manifest it stopping and going back to rain), we all seem to be actually melting in the heat we are most definitely not accustomed to!

Best day of my life?
Even now, in 2021, people still refer to the weddings as being the best day of a woman’s life. I mean - WTF! Why is no one selling men the idea that getting married is going to be the best day of their life… I hate even the idea that my wedding is going to be the best day of my life… I mean - the best day of my life at 35? Is it just all down hill after this?!

3 great books to read in lockdown
This week I wanted to give some book suggestions! I am finding this winter lockdown much tougher than the summer lockdown. The weather isn’t as good - the days aren’t as long - I am not enjoying getting up for work in the dark, and finishing work in the dark… and I am working from home!
