What is intention?
Today I wanted to do a short blog post to talk about intention and the importance of getting clear on your goals.
To do something with intent suggests clear formulation or great deliberateness. It is not enough to just want something – we must take action with intent to achieve our goals! By living with intention, we set out each day to ensure we engage in meaningful activities that serve our higher purpose and have a positive impact on our lives.
So what does this really mean? And how do we start to get intentional and take inspired action?
The first step towards getting intentional is getting clear on your wants and desires! What are these goals that you even want to be intentional about? Are these goals really what you want – and not what you think you should want, or what others want for you. Are your goals what you really want – and NOT just what you think you can achieve? It is only when we create goals that feel good for us (and by feel good, I don’t mean safe or in your comfort zone – I mean your true desires in alignment with your values), that we can be intentional and take that inspired action!
And this can be tricky!
One of the many key reasons someone has a coach is to help them get this clarity around their goals – It's my mission to work with women who are as ambitious as I am, who do not want to just settle for an ordinary life, but instead be doing what they love, feeling fulfilled, while living with more purpose & joy but who are just not sure what that is yet!
I have been there – and it is crappy to feel lost, like you are just floating through life, almost like you are at sea with life just happening to you! Getting clarity on your goals gives your life more purpose – and going after these goals with intention and inspired action is what allows you to live your dream life!
